Winning and being the best speaker at the North American Debating Championship, where Matt bested some of the best debating institutions in America such as Yale, Dartmouth and Stanford to secure the crown.

Matt has an equally impressive track record at Majors, such as progressing to the Finals at the Princeton Intervarsity and Semifinals at the Oxford Intervarsity. Matt also made it to elimination rounds at numerous other prestigious tournaments, such as the Yale Intervarsity, Cambridge Intervarsity and Doxbridge Intervarsity.
